I am an artist based in Saltburn by the Sea in North Yorkshire, UK.
Painting is where I go to dream: ethereal figures; an unworldly glow from within; colours that dissolve or vibrate; and a suggestion of an enigmatic narrative. Whether communing with the deep blue of eternity, or with dark forests and solitary creatures, or escaping to abandoned houses or the circus, my paintings offer a sanctuary from daily life, a space to pause and reflect.
Oil on canvas, or gouache on panel are my main focus, whilst I am also developing my technique at working with other media. I am currently studying MA Fine Art at Teesside University, and my work is developing in interesting new directions. This means there may not be any new paintings on here for a wee while.
